藥 品 名 稱
一、英語藥品說明書一般用商品名，由生產(chǎn)廠家向該國政府有關(guān)部門申請注冊正式名稱，受該國政府法律保護(hù)，在藥品名稱的右上角有個R的符號，意思是已經(jīng)申請注冊的法定名稱，不可隨意改變名稱。R=Recive
在藥品之后有時Issued to(for) the Medical profession only短語，意：僅供醫(yī)界參考。
例：Mobic R Issued to(for) the medical prfession.
二、譯法：
1. 音譯：按英語讀音用相應(yīng)的漢字譯出
例： Mobic 莫比可 Rifampicin 利福平
2. 意譯：按藥品名稱各組成部份的英語意義譯成漢語
例： Streptomycine 是由Strepto和mycine組成，其中Strepto(鏈球狀)，mycine(霉素)，則按英語意思，譯成：鏈霉素。因此必須掌握大量前、后綴，才以準(zhǔn)確翻譯，此種譯法多數(shù)是抗生素類藥物。
Nitroglycerine 由Nitro(硝基)+glycerin(甘油)組成，則意為硝酸甘油
Aminophylline由Amino+phylline 譯:氨茶堿
3. 音意并譯：按英語藥名組成，前面部份按音譯，后面部份按意譯。
例：Kanamycine由Kama(卡那)+mycine(霉素)組成，按前音后的方法，譯為卡那霉素。
Gentamycine由Genta+mycine 譯為慶大霉素。
4. 諧意譯法：按英語發(fā)音，用相應(yīng)的漢語的音譯出，盡可能用漢字表達(dá)出藥品的作用。
例：Reserpine 利血平
藥品的性狀 Description
藥物性狀包括：化學(xué)結(jié)構(gòu)，理化性質(zhì)，藥理特性及作用等。
1. 化學(xué)結(jié)構(gòu)：有專業(yè)書刊、文獻(xiàn)、專業(yè)資料可查。
國內(nèi)： 《新編藥物學(xué)》、《實(shí)用抗菌藥物學(xué)》、《英漢化學(xué)化工詞匯》、《英漢醫(yī)學(xué)詞匯》
國外： Chemical Abstracts 《美國化學(xué)文摘》
British pharmacopoeia(B.P) 《英國藥典》
u.s pharmarcopoeira (U.s.p) 《美國藥典》
2. 理化性狀和藥理作用:
常用英文詞匯有20種：
colour顏色、taster 味道、smell 氣味、solubility溶解度、composition成份、ingredients主要成份、formule 分子式、molecular weight分子量、description性狀 、property性質(zhì)、chemical propenty化學(xué)特征、pharmacological propenty 藥理特性、pharmacological action 藥理作用、pharmacology藥理、mode of action作用方式、action作用、activity活性、advantage優(yōu)點(diǎn)、feature特點(diǎn)、potency藥效。
例：Lobelin events a stimulant effects on the central nervous system.
洛貝林對中樞神經(jīng)系統(tǒng)有興奮作用。
適應(yīng)范圍(癥) Indications
此項是說明書的重點(diǎn)內(nèi)容，應(yīng)準(zhǔn)確理解，主要是講對哪些細(xì)菌、病毒、疾病、癥狀有治療效果或無效，盡量多記憶，也可查閱有關(guān)的專業(yè)詞匯，以求準(zhǔn)確無誤。
表示方法：

一、英語表示方法：
用法：Administration、Method for administration 、How to use 、Direcction 、Direction for use 、 Mode of application

二、用法中“日”、“次”、“小時”、“公斤”(磅)、體重的譯法:
1. Daily . per day. A day. Every day 每日
2. Every 8 hour/ 8 hours apart / Eight－h(huán)ourly/ At intervals of 8 hours 每隔……小時
3. Once daily (a day) (q.d)
Twice daily(a day) 表示不等時用 (bid)
Three times daily(a day) (tid)
For times daily(a day) (qid)
Every other day 每隔天一次 (q.o.d)
Every second day
4. Per kilo of body weight daily
Per Kg of body weight daily 每天每公斤體重
mg/Kg/day (mg.Kg-1.day-1)
Per pound body weight daily 每天每磅體重
Per square meter of body surface 每平方米體表面積
5. 分…次句型：
… be divided into… 分為…
(1). …be divided into three eight－h(huán)ourly doses 分為3份，每八小時一次
(2). …be divided into doses every four hours 分為若干份，每4小時一次
(3). …be divided into two daily infusious 每天分2份輸注
(4). In two or three equally divided doses 分為2 或3等份
(5) 2 g per day in 2 equally divided doses 每天2克，分為2等份
6. Once a week 一周一次； Twice a week 一周二次；
Three times a week 一周三次
注意：說明書上的劑量后面緊接著是“每天幾次”，指的是每次的劑量，例：Two tabelets three times a day(daily) 指的是一次2 片的劑量，凡后面緊接著是“分…份”，則指的是每日的劑量，例：This tablet divided into three eight－h(huán)ourly doses,指的是一天一片的劑量，即一片分為三份，每8小時一次。
又例：100 units twice daily 每天2次，一次100單位(即每天200單位)；
One or two tablets per Kg body weight in two divided dose.
每公斤體重用1－2片，分為2等份給藥。(1－2片指的是一天的劑量)。
三、給藥途徑：
英語表達(dá)如下：
orally 口服、intracerebrospinally 腦脊管水腔給藥、parenterally 腸道外給藥、rectally直腸內(nèi)給藥、intramuscularly 肌注 、subconjunctirally 結(jié)膜下給藥、intravenously 靜注 、 loeally 局部給藥、intratheeally 鞘內(nèi)給藥、sublinqually 舌下給藥、intrapleurally 胸膜腔內(nèi)給藥、intragluteally 臀肌內(nèi)給藥、intraperitoneally 腹膜腔內(nèi)給藥、submucously 粘膜下給藥、intraarterially 動脈內(nèi)給藥
四、給藥對象：
adult 成年人 、children (school－age children)兒童(學(xué)齡兒童)、infants 幼兒、babies(newborn babies)嬰兒(新生兒)、women 婦女、senile patient(Gerontal patient)老年人
常見的英語表達(dá)法：

例：The medicine should be administered after meals. 本藥應(yīng)該飯后服用。

給藥方式有時用：It is advisable to give… 最好給…
